A Message from Lauren Nigro
Director at The Learning Tree Daycare & Preschool
I’ve been passionate about early childhood education for as long as I can remember. Those formative years for children are critical to their long-term wellness. That’s why I launched my career in a variety of daycare settings, from home-based to corporate. And why - in 2013 - I leveraged my many years of childcare experience to open The Learning Tree Daycare & Preschool.
My school is a reflection of what's important to me in early education. Both as a childcare professional and as a mother:

Plenty of time and space for play. Play fosters motor-skills development, creativity, problem-solving, socializing, and mental health.

A feeling of safety and security. This reduces stress and encourages your child to express themselves.

An enriching education. We prepare your child for their next stage of development. And inspire a love of learning, sharing, and caring we hope they'll carry with them for the rest of their lives.
Katrina has been with me since my first year opening the daycare. Starting as an assistant in the classroom, working her way up to Lead Teacher in all age groups, and eventually becoming Director certified. Her experience in both the classroom setting, and office setting has helped immensely when it comes to organization between staffing, classroom rosters, and all of the in-between.

Our Staff
A school is only as strong as it's educators. And that's why we hire qualified, well-vetted teachers and assistants.
Our teachers are certified educators with previous childcare experience. They endure thorough background checks. And - before they're hired - they "show their stuff" in an in-classroom performance evaluation. This ensures your child receives the warm, welcoming, and enriching environment they deserve.
Many of our teachers have been with us since we opened our doors in 2013.
Our Center
Your child will find plenty of space for learning and fun.
Classrooms have areas for group activities and cozy nooks to escape to for some quiet time alone.
Your child's teacher will bring them outside - into our large outdoor playground - most days.
It features swing sets, climbing and crawling structures, and soft landing spots throughout.
And bad weather doesn't stop the fun!
Our school has a spacious and super-fun indoor playground, too!
Safety
Safety is our top priority.
Our school has a large staff, so your child is always under the watchful eyes of a teacher or assistant.
Staff members have CPR certification.
They're backed by a modern security system, with cameras and alarms.
We lock doors between pickup and drop off times.
And we only allow pickups from people on a pre-approved pickup list.
We go the extra mile on safety so you don't worry and so your little one can focus on enjoying their day.
